What to Expect

We will meet you in Mirissa harbor where you gonna board to the big Whale and Dolphin excursion boat by 6.30 AM in order to joining the most engaged marine activity in southern coast of Sri Lanka. You will serve by picnic breakfast on board and the key icons of this marine wildlife encounter are Blue whales, Sperm whales, Bryde’s whales, Short finned pilot whales, killer whales, Dolphins, Whale sharks and even sea turtles!!! During the excursion, our crew will be constantly on alert to spot these marine creatures but within a safe distance to them (but good distance to observe them and taking photos). More importantly, the crew will not cross the Whale’s course as well. On the way back to coast, you will serve by refreshments as a bonus..

FAQ

I am Traveling between May to October which is not available to book. Why is that?

The period from May to October is considering as the off season. Ocean is rough and it is not worth to go because chances of spotting whales are very low.

Do you have any remedy for sea sickness?

Yes. If you need you can ask our boat crew for sea sickness pills. But you must take it 1/2 hour before sailing. So please make sure you are asking prior to leave for the excursion.

Are you doing swimming, snorkeling, diving and feeding excursions with Whales?

Sorry. We don´t do swimming, snorkeling, diving and feeding with the Whales due to local regulations.

Are spotting Whales guaranteed?

Since it’s a natural setting and depends on the behaviors of marine life creatures we may not guaranteed that. However, the chances are very high during (almost 98%) the peak season: from November to April.

What if I may not able to travel due to significant global event / force majeure?

In the events affected by covid-19, travel restrictions imposed between countries, provinces or between any other specific borders, a full refund will be issued regardless to the standard cancellation policy.
